This month, we will delighted to introduce Integrity Star – Shucheng Wang, Manager of the Comprehensive Management Department and Legal Compliance Department of Jiangsu Branch; Transformation Star – Qingxiang He, Department Manager of Marketing Department 2 of Sichuan Branch; and One AXA Star – Yueke Zheng, General Manager of Guangzhou Branch.
Shucheng currently serves as the Manager of the Comprehensive Management Department and Legal Compliance Department of Jiangsu Branch, with 27 years of experience in the insurance industry. He regularly participates as an insurance advisor and special guest on a radio show dedicated to consumer rights, providing a platform for communication between the insurance industry and listeners. He is also an invited lecturer for the Jiangsu and Nantong Insurance Associations, sharing his experience and insights on customer complaints, dispute mediation, and public opinion management. Additionally, he serves as a People’s Supervisor for the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Procuratorate, committed to upholding judicial justice.
With his profound experience in the insurance industry, Shucheng provided professional guidance to the claims department, effectively preventing customer complaints from escalating. He played a key role in handling multiple cases, including complaints at Taizhou Procuratorate, litigation at Nantong Court, and retrials at the Provincial High Court. Through in-depth communication with regulatory authorities, he mitigated regulatory risks. Additionally, he dedicated himself to the company’s transformation and talent cultivation efforts, offering professional training courses to the team. As a People’s Supervisor at the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Procuratorate, he successfully advocated for appeals in dispute cases, providing professional support for retrials.
Q1: How does it feel to be awarded AXA Star?
It has been a great honor, I feel thrilled. I am grateful for the support and trust from my colleagues, which has encouraged me to forge ahead. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to those who voted for me, as well as those who have provided me with selfless help and guidance in my work. Q2: What are your habits to keep confident, healthy and positive?
In my spare time, I enjoy meeting new friends, photography, traveling, exercising, and collecting. I have a keen eye for discovering the delicate and beautiful moments in life and capturing them with my camera, freezing them in time. Collecting is an important way for me to enrich my experience and knowledge. Each piece of my collection carries a unique story, allowing me to constantly absorb wisdom and inspiration. I also enjoy making friends with like-minded people and sharing the details of life with them, growing together. These hobbies not only enrich my life but also make me love this world even more.
Q3: Please share with us a book, a movie or a theatre piece.
Recently, I have delved into the book “Ancienne Mutuelle 1817-1967” about the history of AXA’s predecessor company. This has given me a deeper understanding and knowledge of the company’s glorious history and profound culture. From paying attention to the content of the book to actively collecting other historical materials related to the company, I deeply feel that AXA Insurance is not only an insurance company with a long history but also a living history scroll that records the exploration and struggle of human beings in the field of financial insurance. In the process of absorbing the book and collecting materials, I have also completed writing the article “Resilience, Rebirth, and Soaring – A Legendary Journey of the Financial Insurance Industry Carved on the Art Medal”. I believe that in the future, AXA Insurance will continue to uphold its indomitable spirit and write an even more brilliant chapter.
He Qingxiang currently serves as the Department Manager of Marketing Department 2 of Sichuan Branch, with 17 years of experience in insurance sales. Since joining the company in 2006, he has been deeply engaged in sales, bravely challenging himself in the waves of business development. He successfully transformed the motor insurance business from traditional agency to dealer and individual agency and expanded into the health insurance field. His innovative ideas have promoted the balanced development of motor and non-motor insurance businesses.
Starting from 2021, Qingxiang actively responded to the company’s strategic transformation, successfully shifting from a single motor insurance business to a diversified business model. He has driven explosive growth in non-motor insurance business, breaking through the ten-million platform. Even in the fiercely competitive motor insurance market, he has maintained a stable performance of nearly 20 million yuan in annual average revenue for nearly 5 years. He fully understands the importance of non-motor insurance transformation and continuously optimizes the sales logic. Through unremitting efforts, he has successfully opened up important channels such as Sichuan Liheli, contributing significantly to the non-motor insurance premiums of the company for two consecutive years.
In 2023, Qingxiang personally signed non-motor insurance premiums of 13.1 million yuan and auto insurance premiums of 22.01 million yuan. The 28 brokers not only generated substantial output but also received widespread praise for their efficient services and professional consultation responses. In addition, his full-process support in claims services has won high praise from agents at Mingya channels.
Q1: How does it feel to be awarded the AXA Star?
I am grateful for the recognition from the company’s leadership and colleagues, and I thank the company for providing me with such a platform and opportunities over the years. Although there are pressures and new challenges in the sales process, I have also been constantly learning and growing while striving to achieve my goals. I believe that the company’s future development will become better and better, reaching new heights, which drives me to work harder in my future endeavors.
Q2: What are your habits to keep confident, healthy and positive?
Playing basketball for three hours every weekend is my biggest sporting hobby for relaxation. Basketball is a team sport where individual efforts alone are not sufficient. Similarly, in the sales process at AXA, it is necessary to cooperate and grow together with colleagues from various departments and partners. Only then can we achieve a win-win situation!

The book I have been reading recently is “The Biography of Su Dongpo”. Su Dongpo was a great literary giant in Chinese history, with a life full of twists and turns and legendary color. He experienced multiple demotions and exile, but always maintained an optimistic and positive attitude. He constantly fought against fate and made achievements in many fields. Life and work should also be like this!
Yueke currently serves as the General Manager of the Guangzhou Branch, accumulating rich management experience in the insurance brokerage field since graduating in 2008. He has held key positions in insurance brokerage companies, successfully leading multiple large-scale projects and injecting momentum into the development of the companies he worked for. In 2020, he joined AXA, leveraging his outstanding organizational structure optimization and business channel expansion capabilities to lead the Guangzhou Branch to achieve remarkable results.
In 2023, the Guangzhou Branch under Yueke’s leadership achieved remarkable performance, with monthly indicators ranking at the forefront of the branch. Non-auto insurance business achieved the set goals, with premium accounting for more than half. Health insurance even exceeded the annual target in October. At the same time, he actively expanded new channels, improved team configuration, maintained channel relationships, and promoted year-on-year growth of various insurance types. The cumulative annual premium reached 85.6438 million yuan, including 36.1455 million yuan in auto insurance, 10.5041 million yuan in retail insurance, 16.7292 million yuan in health insurance, 22.235 million yuan in commercial insurance, and 15.2307 million yuan in weather index insurance. His significant contributions to the company earned him the title of Annual Outstanding Individual.
Q1: How does it feel to be awarded the AXA Star?
Receiving the AXA Star is a recognition and affirmation of my previous work. It is also an important milestone in my career at AXA, which will inspire me to continue working hard and strive for even better results. I thank the company for providing me with such a great platform, which has given me ample opportunities to showcase myself. I enjoy reading in my spare time, especially classical books. I have a particular fondness for the theories of the Masters of the Hundred Schools and Chinese history, allowing me to appreciate the profound depth of Chinese culture.

I have recently read “The Collected Works of Han Yu” by the great Tang and Song dynasties writer. His writing style is vibrant, and his insights are unique. His concern for the Dao and the country is evident.
July 25-26, the 2024 branch meeting and“AXA Tianping Elite Sales Club” summit concluded successfully. AXA Tianping management team, leading representatives of Greater China, heads of regional and branch offices, and heads of departments of the head office gathered in Beihai, Guangxi, to review the achievements of the company in the first half of the year, while looking forward to the development blueprint of “Xinghuo”Transformation.
Mr. Kevin CHOR, CEO of AXA Tianping opened the meeting, affirming the achievement of the first half year while clearly emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainable business. He praised the team on its excellent execution and resilience in the first half of the year‚ and expressed high expectations for the second half of the year and beyond. He stressed the importance of maintaining a strong business foundation and set a clear target of achieving 2.82 billion yuan in premium income, representing a year–on–year growth rate of 2.6%, for the second half of the year.
After four years of persistent struggle and profound transformation and development, we are standing at a landmark turning point, which is not only the best reward for the unremitting efforts of the past, is the first time in corporate history to achieve solid profit growth of the landmark moment, a complete farewell to the long-term loss plight, ushered in the dawn of a new chapter.
In the following reports, we have further learned the results of the first half of 2024: Chief Distribution Management and sales officer Liancheng Zhou called for ensuring profits, professional operations, solid channels and strict compliance with red lines, while chief financial officer Pierre Laur acknowledged the company’s strategic change in the first half of the year, expecting to continue to optimize profits to return to positive growth.
Subsequently, various business lines also passed on the determination to adhere to quality control, comprehensive improvement of operating capacity: motor in sureness to restore the normal operation of the platform, and strive to achieve the annual 3.84 Billion Premium Budget, 97.5% in the second half of the marginal goal; Health insurance should firmly grasp the development opportunities brought by emerging markets and health care reform, hold the market leading position, and strive to achieve positive growth in new orders, while enhancing the risk-resistant capability of the business, we should continue to strengthen capacity-building in the areas of dual-core insurance and risk reduction; retail insurance needs to make efforts to explore new business channels and new projects to fill the gap in retail insurance premiums, to increase the overlap rate of driving accidents and maintain the momentum of continuous growth in the advantageous sectors.
On the second day of the conference,Mr. Kevin CHOR listened to the first-half business analysis reports from three regions, and expected that the profit target of the second half of the year is reached and the annual premium budget is fulfilled.
In addition, areas related to compliance and consumer protections also need solid progress to promote cost control measures, in-depth implementation of this culture.
It is worth mentioning that Xinghuo transformation project has also achieved phased results during this mid-year meeting. Each selected entities will choose two outstanding employee volunteers embark on a remarkable journey – a two day experience on Tara boat in French Riviera early September.

As a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, AXA Tianping, together with a long history of literature and biography, made a modest contribution to the“Rebirth by fire” of Notre Dame de Paris.
AXA France added to its civil liability insurance coverage for Europe Echafaudage and Le Bras Freres, two contractors that were working on the restoration of Notre Dame. As one of the projects Le Festival Croisement, a cultural project between China and France- at the occasion of its 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations”, the“Eternal Notre Dame” travels through time and space to immerse itself in VR, using state-of-the-art three-dimensional scanning technology, the exact reconstruction of Notre Dame’s Gothic architecture, from its construction in the Middle Ages to its current restoration, allows the audience to travel through time and gain an insight into the long history of this World Heritage Site.
The VR experience at the opening ceremony attracted the attention of many guests and the audience.
The audience put on their VR glasses and set off on a unique exploration of Notre Dame. In the virtual world, they“Travel” through time and space to appreciate the delicate relief decoration on the outside wall of Notre Dame, go inside to visit the famous flame-type vault, rose window, and finally climb the bell tower overlooking the city of Paris, feel the unique charm of this world cultural heritage, as if experienced the building from the Middle Ages to modern ups and downs.

On July 10, AXA was invited to attend the policy announcement and urban promotion activities for the 2024 investment sharing session becoming one of a series of key projects promoting the development of the new city. At the event, Gu Jun, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai municipal government, introduced several policy measures aimed at fostering high-quality development in the new town. The plan outlined 16 specific measures across four key areas: industry leadership, energy level enhancement, resource allocation and mechanism innovation. In 2024, AXA Management (Shanghai) Co. , Ltd. will introduce 21 major functional projects in the new city (“Dishui Lake Financial Bay”) which reflects the government’s high recognition and support for AXA, as well as AXA;s commitment to play a significant role in the new city construction and contribute to the prosperity and development of the city.
