On December 4, the seventh meeting of the China-France Business Council was held in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron jointly attended the closing ceremony of the meeting, delivered a speech, and engaged in discussions with representatives from the business communities of both countries.

During the conference, AXA group signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). According to the MOU, both parties agreed to further deepen comprehensive cooperation in areas such as cross-border financial services, green finance, asset management, and risk protection, sharing resources and expertise to jointly explore market opportunities.

This collaboration not only marks a significant upgrade in the partnership between the two financial institutions but also serves as a vivid reflection of the continuously deepening economic, trade, and financial cooperation between China and France. Moving forward, the two sides will actively seize opportunities arising from the green transition and the development of the digital economy, working together to provide customers with higher-quality integrated financial services and injecting new momentum into promoting sustainable economic development in China, France, and the broader global economy.

It is reported that the China-France Entrepreneurs Committee was established in January 2018 under the witness of the heads of state of both countries, with the aim of promoting economic and trade exchanges and diversified development between China and France. The committee is coordinated by China’s Ministry of Commerce and France’s Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial, Energy, and Digital Sovereignty. Its board members consist of leading enterprises from key industries in both countries, covering sectors such as advanced manufacturing, energy, information technology, biopharmaceuticals, and financial services.
