To comprehensively enhance the company-wide system’s capability in responding to natural disaster risks and fortify the defenses for safe development, the Claims Management Department of AXA Tianping organized all nationwide branches to conduct the 2025 Comprehensive Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Drill in early June.
During the kick-off meeting on May 23, Yang Yong, Chief Claims and Customer Service Officer of AXA Tianping, emphasized that the current environment of frequent extreme weather events poses significant challenges to insurance companies, especially small and medium-sized insurers. He stated that we must recognize the situation and strengthen our sense of crisis and establish effective early warning and handling mechanisms for risks and implement risk reduction measures. Finally, through drills, we aim to enhance the operational capabilities and service levels of the claims team during major disasters. He underscored the principle of “Turning Drills into Real Combat Readiness, Building Defenses with Professionalism” to tangibly improve the company’s risk resilience and service quality, thereby safeguarding high-quality development.
Centered on the principles of “Realism, Professionalism, and Synergy,” this drill effectively tested the emergency response capabilities of the head office and branch teams through multi-scenario, full-process stress testing, achieving complete success. Branches nationwide simulated disaster scenarios including severe flooding along major rivers, super typhoons in coastal areas, and extreme inland rainstorms. The drill covered the entire process across multiple stages: disaster monitoring, catastrophe warning, emergency response, rescue investigation, loss assessment, and claims settlement. This exercise successfully validated the scientific basis and feasibility of the branches’ emergency plans. Simultaneously, it heightened employees’ awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation while improving their capabilities in disaster relief and loss reduction, fortifying our flood prevention “safety embankment” for the upcoming flood season.
